Cyberbullying: Just a Screen Away
Hello, dear readers!
Today's topic is cyberbullying, I have created an infograph on Venngage. Our professor has asked us to create an infograph and talk about it, so now I will be talking about the process of creation, why I chose cyberbullying as a topic and its benefits for learners!
The reason why I chose cyberbullying as my subject is that I was also a victim of both real life and cyber bullying. Unlike the past me, I want my future students to feel comfortable about telling me about their situation. I want everyone to be understanding and educated about cyberbullying, so that the victims of it feel more comfortable speaking up for themselves.
To inform people and educate them more, I prepared an infograph on how to reduce cyberbullying rates and how to help victims. The creation process was fun and easy, I had no difficulties. I used Venngage to create my infograph and gained experience in designing materials.
If we must speak about education, I have a few words about how infographs may help everyone, especially students, to get a better grasp about some subjects. I think infographs are beneficial to use in classrooms, especially English classrooms, as they have bright, eye catching and colorful imagery. Normally, written materials such as worksheets are considered boring for the students, but we can make learning more fun with the help of infographics and using them in our classrooms as posters.
As for the creation of infographs, teachers should not be the only ones to create them, students should practice how to create infographs too! As Benjamin Franklin said:
Tell me, and I forget,
Teach me, and I remember,
Involve me, and I learn.
Students learn more efficiently and not just memorize the information given to them when they are actively involved in a project. Making students create infographs is a perfect way to get them involved. Besides, their creative aspects can be influenced by the designing progress and maybe one day, they might become amazing media/graphic designers. Who knows?
Thank you so much for reading this far, If the quality of the infographic is bad, you can access a better version here!
Stay safe and take care!
